Installing - New or Updating

Before installing any version of People’s Choice^® , double check diskette labels to verify all disks are received and if you are updating an existing copy, verify the disks contain appropriate modules for the system. If updating an existing copy always make sure you have a recent backup prior to any installation activity.

To install new or to install a version update: go to the C:\ prompt and type A:INSTALL or B:INSTALL, whichever drive is appropriate, then press <Enter>. Simply follow the instructional prompts during the installation process and replace the disks when advised. If you are updating an existing copy of People’s Choice^® select the appropriate installation menu option. After installation, you must reboot your computer.

Point to Remember - You may want to check the Disk ID prior to installing. This ID will let you know if the correct modules are on the disks and if this set of disks is a Demo or Live version of the software. The first portion of the ID are the modules included and the last character represents if it is a live or demo copy. Example:

PDARAM_L = Accounting Software Live

PDRRAM_D = Accounting Demo
