ERROR 26 - Data Base Not Ordered
This message may relate to corrupted data files, a damaged index
file, or a problem with the program files. The following suggestions can be used as an
attempt to correct.
- Right click on the Start button and then left
click on Find/Search button. When the Find window opens type *.IDX
in the NAMED box. In the Look In box type C:\PEOPLE (or
whatever directory your People's Choice is loaded in). Then click on
Find Now. A list of all files found will appear. Click on Edit,
Select All so all files are highlighted. Then press the Delete key on
your keyboard. Once the files are deleted go back to the NAMED box and
type *.CDX and repeat the above process to find and delete the
files. When the files have been deleted re-enter People's Choice and
repeat the steps that originally caused the error to verify that the system
is operating properly.
- Reinstall the program files. Add a new company and
restore company data from the most recent back-up into the new
company. Repeat the steps that originally caused the error to verify
that the system is operating properly.
