Choice Technologies, Inc. Error File Missing - GLACNO01 not found during restore

 

This error occurs when trying to restore info from one computer to another computer into a specific company number such as Company 01.  To correct do the following procedures to both computers:
  • Download the following file to your computer system into the c:\people directory (or whatever directory you may have your People's Choice for DOS Classic version 5.0 stored in). To download, click on the file listed below and click on Save This File to Disk when the File Download window displays, then click ok.  A Save As dialog box will appear, use the drop down arrow to select your c:\ drive, double click on your people folder (directory) and click on Save.  Double click this file to execute the program.
  • dosback.exe
  • Do Cleanup

We recommend after this is finished to make a new backup (on new disks - don't overwrite your old disks) on the original computer and then try the restore on the second computer.

You may also save this file to a disk if both systems do not have access to the internet.  Click Start. Choose Run.  Enter a:dosback.exe.  Click Okay.  Follow the prompts on the installation wizard.

NOTE TO CPA's - Install on the office computer and on all clients' computers!
